Congratulations to Connor Gibbs, winner of the 2025 McClintock Award
Congratulations to Connor Gibbs, co-winner of the 2025 McClintock Award, which recognizes annually the social psychology graduate student who exemplifies the qualities cherished in Chuck McClintock, who was the first social psychologist on the UCSB faculty.
Those qualities are:
(1) scholarship - excellent scholarship and a solid research record
(2) education - a commitment to education and contributing to the educational function of the program
(3) service - a genuine concern for others and generous contribution to the functioning of the social psychology program (including being there to help someone on the fringe or who needed a little extra help/attention)
Pictured is Connor along with advisor David Sherman. Connor will begin a post-doctoral fellowship at Duke University in October 2025.
