Biography

Jungbin Lim received his B.A. in English Language and Literature and Psychology from Sungkyunkwan University in 2020. After graduation, he served for three years as an Army Interpretation Officer at the Ministry of National Defense, Republic of Korea. During his military service, Jungbin conducted an independent research project on Korean Unification, utilizing social psychology theories in analyzing South Koreans' attitudes toward North Koreans and unification policies. Beyond research, Jungbin enjoys exploring new places, learning new languages, and training martial arts.

Research Area

Jungbin's research interests broadly concern the influence of social narratives and norms in the formation of self-defensive attitudes in contentious social issues. His research will focus on exploring interventions aimed at mitigating defensiveness to motivate individuals to be more open to information that may challenge their initial opinions.
