Getting Involved as an Undergraduate

Obtaining a Research Assistant (99/199) Position is a wonderful way to acquire research experience for graduate school and learn about what goes on "behind the scenes" in psychology research.

Typical responsibilities include running participants in experiments, data entry, and coding video and written data. You may volunteer or apply to receive Psy99/199 credit.

Requirements: No experience is necessary -- we train you! Applicants must be highly responsible and motivated, have a GPA of 3.0 or above, and be able to commit to at least 10 hours a week in the lab. We also appreciate applicants with a professional disposition, enthusiasm for research psychology, and strong attention to detail. Because we want our students to grow under the mentorship of our lab, we prefer those who can commit to working with us for at least 2-3 quarters.

***NOTE: We do not have any openings for the 2010-2011 academic year. Please apply only for summer work or starting Fall 2011. However, we do welcome independent research/honors thesis students to apply.
