Biosensor Development

In collaboration with Chemistry (Plaxco Group), we are developing new biosensors to monitor molecular in the body in real time. For this, we are exploring the adaptation of electrochemical aptamer-based biosensors for measurements in living subjects, including measurements in blood, subcutaneous space and in the brain. Applications for this technology include measure drugs as they pass through different body compartments, including brain, performance of therapeutic drug monitoring, as well as monitoring of endogenous molecules such as neurotransmitters or biomarkers of health and disease.
