The Social Cognitive Development Lab is located on the beautiful UCSB campus, a few minutes north of the city of Santa Barbara.

For Parents:

We conduct our research in our lab at the University of California Santa Barbara campus and in schools, day care centers, museums, and camps in the Santa Barbara area and occasionally the country with our collaborators. We would love to have you participate in the lab and plan appointments to fit your schedule. We are generally open Monday through Friday, 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. However, we may have appointments on a some Saturdays  and are often open during school holidays. If you and your child are interested in participating in one of our in-lab studies, we will provide free parking on campus, and walk you from the parking lot to our welcoming waiting room, where we will tell you about the study your child will participate in, and answer any questions you might have about our developmental research! Our studies tend to take between 15 minutes and 1 hour, and we will tell you the length of time for your particular study when we schedule the appointment. Infants and children tend to enjoy participating in our research games, but if at any time they want to stop, that is totally fine as well!
