My name is Margaret Boyer, but everyone calls me Meg. I grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan and then attended Haverford College in Pennsylvania and amnow a third year Counseling Psychology doctoral student at UCSB. My professional interests focus on clinical applications of positive psychology in research and practice, as well the study of interpersonal emotion regulation in close relationships. Personally, I am an avid soccer player, passionate about social justice, and happiest when holding a puppy.
Research Area
Generally, my research focuses on interpersonal emotion regulation - that is, how we regulate the emotions of close others - as well as the ways in which positive psychology is applicable to counseling psychology and psychotherapy.
